  • BG RCI account week/points?

Doing a lot of reading but didn't see this one.

It seems that part of the yearly fee pays for an RCI weeks and points account.
Can this replace my current RCI account that I pay for?
Can non-BG deposits be put into this account?

Is it a choice of RCI or II account or both?

I ask because my Wyndham II account can only have Wyn weeks in it and SVN II accounts can only have SVN weeks - is II just not as friendly as RCI

I have had an RCI weeks account paid for as part of my BGVC membership since 1998 and have deposited non-BG weeks into it. I see no need for having two RCI weeks accounts unless you are depositing many weeks at the same resort (I believe you are limited to 4. Bruce would know.) The RCI points account is a benefit of Traveler Plus. I now have that account also but have not tried to deposit non-BG into it so I can't answer that question. I believe that at one time you had a choice of of the BGVC paying for RCI or II but I do not believe you have that choice now. Of course, you can have your own II account and deposit appropriate BG weeks into it.

Thank you Cute Charles...just the info I was looking for.
So even though there is a $129 yearly fee, I will get my money pro-rated back and will no longer need to pay for a separate evil empire account

I barked this tree a few years ago.

The RCI weeks account provided by BG is not part of travelers plus (the RCI points account provided by BG is part of travelers plus and available on to TP members). Not every BGVC owner is a member of travelers plus. The weeks account is paid for by our annual $129 club dues. Membership of travelers plus is voluntary, our annual dues are mandatory.

You get no credit on the bluegreen side for having 2 accounts. They will not cancel your BG RCI weeks account if you already have one through another company and reimburse you the fees. They will not let you choose between RCI and II either. I had an RCI points account before I joined BG, and I tried to get BG to pay the fee on my RCI points account - they wouldn't do it. So I was stuck with this basically useless RCI weeks account. Although I have 1 or 2 weeks deposits into that account with points that were soon to expire.

I have a personal RCI account that I pay for, so I would be able to cancel my account and put my weeks I want to deposit into the BG RCI account.

I think I understand from your post that if you had say a Wyndham associated RCI account (also paid for thru club dues) and then purchased with BGVC, they would not be able to get a 'credit' for already having an account.
So you would have a Wyndham paid account plus a BGVC paid account.

Yes, I understand RCI point accounts is associated with Travelers Plus.

I think you are correct - lets say you own at Wonderous Trailer Park in Arkansas, which is affiliated with RCI. You pay the circa $100/year to RCI for your weeks account. You then buy BG. I think you can give-up your original RCI weeks membership, and use your new BG RCI weeks account to both deposit your Trailer Park week, and deposit BG weeks for trading.

My problem is that I own a week at Vacation Village at Parkway . But it was converted to RCI points a few years ago so I had to have an RCI points account so I could convert my week in to points and trade for other points resorts.

Now the RCI points account I get through TP can NOT be used to deposit my Parkway week and get points. That account can only be used to convert BG points to RCI points. But I think the BG RCI weeks account acts as a bona fide weeks account.

            I'm dizzy!

              Actually that sounds about right....
Have u tried to deposit your trailer park week in the BG corporate RCI weeks account or you do not have any weeks right now to deposit.
I guess u could deposit a BG WEEK resie into that account as well.

I also thought that u had to 'agree' to keep your week in RCI points every three years - do you WANT to keep your VV Parkway in points?

Hi I have a RCI points package and want to sell it. It gets 42200 every year and has 84400 points saved up in it. Does any one have any ideas on how to sell it or for how much? Thanks

I have no idea what you have, but it's not worth a great deal and anyone who tells you different will be trying to seperate you from some of your money.

You have posted essentially the same thing in 2 places here (which is frowned upon) and both posts have the appearance of an ad (which is highly frowned upon).

You seem to be asking if you can deposit a non-BG week into the RCI weeks account provided through membership in the BGVC. I have deposited my upscale trailer park week into my BG RCI Weeks account with no problem. In fact, each year RCI asks me to deposit my upscale trailer park week with RCI and never asks about BG.

Is it fair to say that you actually tried to deposit your Parkway week to get points and were refused?

A question to everyone else, "Have you tried to deposit a non-BG week in your BG-RCI Points Account and been refused by RCI?" I am asking this because sometimes policy is interpreted in one way by one rep and a different way by a different rep in such a manner that we really don't know what the policy actually is.

Thanks...yes, that is what I was asking.
