Can you rent points to another owner?

We purchased a sampler last August so the points can only be used until the end of May. We reserved a cabin for 2 nights at Big Cedar next week but it looks like we will not be able to go. I have listed the rental on Craigslist but since it is for May 2 which is a little over a week away I doubt we will be able to rent it. My question is, if I have to cancel the reservation I will have 3500 points left that we will not be able to use by the end of May. Is there a website to connect with someone who might want to rent and use these points before the end of May or is there some other way to not just loose the points? Any ideas would be appreciated. I have seen websites for rental of specific units but not for points that must be used in short order.

Reservations with over 10 days out can be canceled without loosing the points. If you had the time, you could call Bluegreen and cancel the reservation.

But, since you are short on time, try modifying your Craigslist add, try to hit it for different areas, and maybe look at your price. Sometimes it is better to get something rather than let it go for nothing.

For future reference for sampler owners, I found out that Bluegreen will not let you rent out your sampler points.

And this is a reasonable policy. The whole purpose of a "Sampler" is to get "you" to sample staying with Bluegreen so that you will want to buy Bluegreen. I can envision all sorts of abuses if Sampler owners could rent out the units they reserved.
