  • Pono Kai, 1br loft

I haven't posted here in a while, but I seem to remember that someone here owns a 1 br loft at Pono Kai. Does anyone know how many 1 br lofts there are and which unit #'s they are? Has anyone stayed in the 1 br loft or do you have a floor plan of it? Thanks!

I'm the one...D-307 I think is my exact unit. I'm not sure how many they are and don't have a floor plan but I will describe it.

You walk in and to the right is a bedroom with a queen bed, closet, bureau and a TV. To the left of that, just to the right of the main door is a nice sized bathroom. To the left of the main door is a closet with a safe and the hallway opens up to a nice full kitchen with a bar and kitchen table and living area with another TV, pullout couch, etc. Sliders open up to the ocean view balcony.

It's on the top floor with huge vaulted ceilings and a nice-sized stairway leads up to the loft that is actually pretty private. It's bigger than the bedroom and has a nice king size bed, bureau, dressing table and closet and a lounge chair. The wall to the loft is high, but low enough where I could stand on my tip toes and look over to the living room.

AC is in the main room and cools the loft nicely as well. Bedroom has a ceiling fan (as does the loft).

    Hope that helps.

Thanks Holly. Does the a/c cool enough to sleep in the loft king bed? There's no a/c in the main bedroom, right?

        Not Holly,

But the 2 bedroom with a loft is the same in the 1 bedroom portion, and no the a/c doesn't get up to the loft at all. During the summer the loft can be quite warm, as can the back bedroom.
During the cooler seasons, the loft is ok, and the back bedroom stays comfortable.
I have attached an older copy of the 1 bedrooms and the 1 bedroom lofts at the PK and PF, hope it helps. The loft is over the kitchen and back bedroom, if you have ever been in the Maui Schooner, they are laid out almost the same.

          Greg,

          Nomenclature and HOA Questions.

I assume that PK above refers to Pono Kai. Does PF above and Pac. Fan. on the chart refer to Pacific Fantasy? What does IOA on the chart refer to? Is it the original HOA?

I understand that inventory at Pono Kai comes under at least three organizations. The original Pono Kai HOA, Paific Fantasy (I think) and Bluegreen. Do the numbers on the chart refer to the 1 bedroom units which are under the control of the first two organizations?

          Thank you, Charles

That's weird, because the AC cools the loft just fine in our unit...it was the bedroom that it didn't get to...actually, I like the loft much better...we used the bedroom mostly for the second tv.

                Yes,
What does IOA on the chart refer to?
The Pono Kai, which is the largest of the owners.

There are 3 major timeshares at the Pono Kai, the 1st and the largest is the Pono Kai, then the Pacific Fantasy, then Vacation Internationale. The PK and PF are managed by Blue Green, which also owns around 500 +- weeks of use at the resort.

The units listed on this chart are the PK and PF and BG units. The others all live under the whole ownership section of the resort.

                Hope this helps, Greg
