We spent 9 nights at Club 36 in Las Vegas (4/25 - 5/4). We were not disappointed. Very friendly staff, nice room (322A) and relatively close to the strip. Just a few comments about some odds and ends. The chairs and sofa in the room look uncomfortable....BIG suprise...our bottoms liked them fine. Walking to the strip is Ok if it is below 80 degrees and you are in good shape. Everything seems close until you start walking. Cab fares are high. Try renting at small car. Parking on the strip is abundant in hotel provided garages...no charge for self park, only for valet parking. The stores and eateries by Club 36 are all very good...the Dhue pizza is very good and the sundry store has a good selection of items. Go to Walmart on Tropicana for groceries. It is about 3 miles away. There is not direct left turn lane into Club36. You have to go down about 1/4 mile to do a U turn from the lane provided. Try the back way in and out. It is quicker sometimes. Leave early for the airport! The TSA lines are long. If you return a car, the return is way off-site. Basically, you go down one side of the airport, turn, go down the other side, drop the car, get on a shuttle, go up the other side of the airport to the terminal....you get to look at the airport from three sides! Allow at least 2 1/2 hours to do this.
We also ventured on two canyon tours with Sweets Tours. Phillip at the concierge's desk can make the arrangements. We liked the Grand Canyon and Hoover Dam tour....BUT our favorite was the Zion and Bryce Canyon tour. It is a long tour (15 hours), but well worth it (2 feet of snow still on the ground up by Bryce at the 10,500 foot elevation).
