  • Changes Coming For Resale

The details are pretty sketchy but I heard that after June 1st there won't be "benefits" transferring with authorized resale unless the points are over $1.25 on the resale market.

As it is now, if you buy from Pinnacle, Bluegreen's authorized reseller you get all the benefits of membership. You can still buy points resale through anywhere, Ebay etc like always but they are going to make it harder (and much more expensive) to purchase full benefit points from their authorized reseller.

I have not yet been officially notified of the changes. However, half a dozen people called me with the same information.

I believe that the days of the cheap upgrade are over. I'll let you know when I find out for sure.

If you have been looking to do a Premier upgrade, contact me ASAP via private message. I'll see if I can get you in under the wire.

I just got official word. As of June 1, only resale purchases made at $1.25/point will count toward Premier and bonus time. All other policies remain the same.

I can still help people upgrade via to Premier, but it is going to be a lot more costly.

I just got back from The Fountains, and was told something similar, yet totally different. At our update, we were told the premier benefits would be closed this summer (Sept at the latest), and there would be no more admission to the premier benefits at all. It was also stated that BG would no longer combine deeds, and all new purchases would have to be separate deeds, doubling up on the 300$ base fee.

Interestingly enough, the update opened with the fact that we were ~not~ allowed to upgrade to bronze, as that offer had been withdrawn from our account, and could only upgrade to silver (we have 11K annual), although, after a quick call to "corporate", we would be allowed the one time offer to buy 4K @ 2.15 a point. (passed, new house, 2 kids in college..the sales women actually was understanding, and stopped the presentation and gifted us quickly, wishing us well....almost freakish after past experiences!!).

The Fountains was great as expected, and Boca, thanks for setting us on Benihara's ... it was excellent!!!

            Greg.

              Greg,

The first two points are not true. If Bluegreen eliminates access to Premier, there is no differential value to buying from the developer. That would be shooting themselves in the foot. No way they are doing that.

Regarding the base fees, they must combine by rules of the Trust Fund E Vacation Club Trust. Those rules are recorded into the Public records. No way that is happening.

heh, I almost wanted to call her on this too, but the goal wasn't to get in an argument, just get through it!!.

Oh, she did ask me if I knew how mf were calculated, and when I explained them and mentioned trust funds, was informed that trust funds were nonexistent, and for some reason, a few of us owners were "misinformed".

Sorry, Boca guess we have been wrong all this time.

LOL. Next time tell her you want to make a purchase, but before you do, you want to see the "condo documents." Tell them it is called the "Multi-site Public Offering Statement." They will probably show you a copy of it electornically. They have to have them at the resort because it is a legally required disclosure at time of sale. Then, scroll down until you see the section on Trust Funds. Then, ask her what those are and to tell you again how you are misinformed.

                      Urgency?

I currently own 11,000 pts and am looking to add an addtional 9,000 giving me silver status. Does this mean that if I purchase 9,000 pts today for ~$2,190 I would obtain silver, but if I wait until next week the same upgrade would cost me $11,250 to acheive the same goal?

I just returned yesterday from Laurel Crest (it was awesome) and the salesman there tried everything in his arsenal to get me to upgrade.

Yes, that's why I went ahead and went from Silver to Gold on Friday. Had been on the fence about it but felt compelled since this was my last chance to do it economically.
