Any success renting points??

My husband and I just upgraded to Gold (35,000 annual) which is more than we can use. I have thoroughly enjoyed being a member at BGVC, but I am starting to regret the decision to upgrade. We have had NO luck renting ANY of our excess points. The only thing I filled was a 6-night stay at the Fountains which I all but gave away for $250.

Have any owners had luck renting their points? Would you mind sharing some tips??

I too had difficulty in renting points......I know from this board that others have had success....it takes work......i suggest creating a network of local friends...clubs...work associates....church etc......let them know you have available some of the best resort locations available.....dont hesitate to keep reminding them......maybe book early .....prime holiday weeks that everyone will be interested in......set a good price...but i wouldnt give it away.....

I think it helps to know when major events are happening in an area, booking that time early and advertising that you have the week available. Remember with gold you can cancel a number of reservations without fees if you can't rent it. I am new to renting out points also, so I am by no means an expert at it. Good Luck

duno if u have anyone booked yet but my husband and i bought with bg at the end of may and dont have access yet to anything and are wanting to go back to big cedar, if u decide u want to rent anything out there send me a pm
