So you stay at The Fountains in a 2 bedroom for 13,000-18,000 points depending on the unit, and drive a short distance to Disney. Saves $274 and spend that on a few good evenings out. That is what we did last time, and may do that again next March.

The $95 resort fee also gives you shuttle transportation to the airport, so technically you wouldn't have to rent a car if you stayed onsite. I haven't decided if I would want to rely solely on Disney transportation though. At the Fountains you pretty much need a car and Disney parking pass, so this would add some expense and flexibility.

my brother who is a new owner went to his first update meeting at the beginning of may and thought he heard them say that a new feature is the use of disney vacation club locations and using points for that ?? anyone know anything about this ?? does this mean we can use our points for the disney meal plan ?

we have a scheduled vacation to the fountains in dec 2010 to go to disney and we are trying to figure out our plans for tix, meal plan etc...any advice is greatly appreciated as we will have 4 kids under the age of 5.

Wyndham has the only outside resort "INSIDE the gates of Disney" you can buy tickets with points with an easy transition from Bluegreen to Wyndham. They will give you alot of points for your Bluegreen and you won't loose it either!! How cool is that? B/G is number 5 Wyndham is #1 and for a good reason.. you get more bang for your bucks!

I believe with Bluegreen you can exchange into DVC using RCI by doing a polints deposit and paying an exchange fee, but I don't believe that DVC and Bluegreen have any direct affiliation yet.

As far as I am aware, Disney only has a direct exchange relationship with Club Cordial and Club Intrawest resorts.

The salesperson might have been phrasing it to sound as if it was a closer affiliation than it really is at the moment. Not that it would be a bad thing for DVC. I'd welcome it but don't see any mention of it on the members website.

Wyndham is the ONLY outside vacation ownership resort built INSIDE the gates of Disney.. You can even buy tickets at the front desk of the new Bonnet Creek with your points.. If you have Bluegreen they will pos. honor your Bluegreen and give you points for that too. We know...cool right?

I have been reading these posts and have a few questions about Disney. We are planning a trip there in about 18 months.

1. When staying at the Fountains, how often does a Disney shuttle come by the resort?

2. What times do the shuttles run, and how long does it take to get to the parks from the Fountains?

3. I saw mention here about a Disney parking pass when staying at the Fountains. What do you need to do to obtain one?

4.What Disney resorts can be traded through RCI, how early can you contact them, and what is the difficulty of getting into a Disney resort this way?
