We are recent Gold members and we are looking at booking our free week in Blue or White, but we'd like to send our parents on this week as a Christmas present. Does anyone know if the reservation has to be in our names for this free week?

Nope, presidentials and concierge are excluded...

Here are the rules from the BG website:

Platinum owners may download a certificate for up to 3 free stays per owner anniversary date.
Gold owners may download a certificate for 1 free stay per owner anniversary date.
Free stays are valid for up to 7 nights in White or Blue seasons only.
Travel must be completed within 12 months of owner anniversary date.
Use of a certificate for fewer than 7 nights will be considered a free stay, regardless of number of nights used.
Presidential and Concierge villa types are excluded from this offer.

Hmmm...

can you post the link to this page? I'm wondering where this language came from, as it is slightly different from what I'd posted. My version came from the Bluegreen website, My Account, Bluegreen Premier, Free Stay Certificate.

For anyone else looking, go to the Premier page as described above. At th ebottom of the chart of benefits is a link to Details of Participation with lots of nitty gritty.
