Expiring Points

I have 500 points that will expire in August. Is there anything that I can do with these points?

Not much you can do with 500 saved points. If you let them expire, it will only cost you about $20-30. I would just let them expire and relax about it.

Depending on your plans for the rest of your points, you could combine your saved points with some of your non-saved points, or borrow points from next year.

But at this point, I'm not sure you'd really find much worth reserving in a summer off-peak resort.

If you find yourself with an extra 500 points each year, you could combine them once every two years into 1000 points that would get you a couple of nights in an off-peak resort. Then you could just gift it to someone if you couldn't use it yourself.
