  • Which BG resorts have "extras" included?

I am trying to find out which BG resorts have items included that are not typical such as water park on site etc.

So far I have heard that the Fountains has a water park and transportation to Disney parks, but I am sure there are others.

The Fountains has a "water park" that, aside from the two big slides, is on par with the water play areas in our local public parks. The kids loved it, mind you - aside from the two big pools, it has a lake where you can rent canoes and paddleboats and tons of activities. OTOH, Odyssey Dells in Wisconsin has a true waterpark connected to it, but isn't too exciting aside from that.

Big Cedar has a water-park-comparable lazy river I'm told, along with a huge list of other activities on-site and is a destination in itself. Really, it depends on how you define "special." We consider beachfront pretty special, but there are a number of BG resorts on the beach. Hershey is special because of its location. World Golf Villages has the two golf courses designed by Nicklaus and Palmer as well as the World Golf Hall of Fame. Shenandoah has the horses and other critters. I loved Harbour Lights for the size of the units, the view of the International Canal, and the free state park passes; a lot of people don't like it because it's the only BG resort in the Myrtle Beach area that isn't on the beach.

Just depends on what you're looking for.

I know that Big Cedar and Christmas Mountain Village have restaurants on site. Not sure which others may have restaurants.

Shenandoah no longer offers free horseback. All horse activity other than watching cost some amount of money. $5 for a wagon ride - $20 trail ride.
