  • XYZ Points`

Bluegreen is offering a XYZ points system. Is anyone familar with this and how it works. They are offering this at Wilderness Club Big Cedar for units that are more costly. I asked them what I would get for "X" and was told Friday, Saturday, Sunday, but when I looked at the points chart, it cost more points then I purchased.

Yes, in order to offer smaller points packages, Bluegreen breaks up full weeks into partial weeks.

X and Y are usually used to denote Sun-Th or Th-Sun, depending on resort.

Z usually is a designator for biennial Odd weeks. However, it could be that Bluegreen is offering the new Big Cedar units for X, Y and Z. It will create confusion in title, but I'd have to see the details before making a full assessment.

Is this something offered to new owners in place of or in addition to the sample packet? Or to say, is this another version of a sample packet?

This is not a sampler package, it would be real points. Big Cedar has just finished some new 2 Bedroom Presidential Villas that go for 42,000 points for a week in the summer. Instead of trying to sell someone a full 42,000 point week, it sounds like they are breaking them into smaller chunks to make them easier to sell.

          That's correct.

Were you able to tour the new Presidential villas? Since they cost roughly three times as many points as a regular 2 Bedroom, I'm curious if they are worth it.

They are still under construction - mostly landscaping. We did not tour on our owner's update. However, I have 2 nights booked July 16 and will let you know how they are. They look beautiful from the outside. They put in a waterfall and it looks enchanting at night.

With all the anticipation, there should be a prize for the first person to post pictures of the new Villas.

                  Don't undervalue bragging rights.

The Presidential units at Club 36 are pretty impressive... but not worth the points unless I was RICH and had a hellacious number of points.

They are worth it as bonus nights, though, if you get one or two others to share the cost.
