I never used the site much except to pay the fee. Just came cross the Bonus Time idea today and wants to explore. Is the site down? I kept on getting this message after I try to log in.

Can I book Bonus Time online?

    BG Site Works For Me

    Jane,

I made a reservation today with no problems. Bonus time reservations are working online also. Call the number and ask why you can't get connected. BG will walk you through everything.

It was down for a little bit this afternoon and yesterday afternoon as well. Back up now.

Thanks for the responses. I got in now. But I can't find any way to make reservation. I have a resale fixed week. I know I am entitled to bonus time at my home resort. Maybe only over the phone?

If you call, you'll be able to ask all your questions.

            Jane,

I think you have it correct. Fixed resale weeks only have bonus time at their home resort and must call to request bonus time. I think this depends also on when you purchased your week. Do you also have to call to book your fixed week or is it yours to use automatically?

              Mark,

I think I called to make the reservation for my week too. I actually have a floating week. I called Bluegreen today to find out how to book Bonus time. The rep was not sure if I could book online and encouraged me to explore. It looks like I will have to call to book the bonus time too. What is the cancellation policy on the bonus time reservations?

Thanks a lot for your help,

              Jane

                Bonus Time Cancellation Policy

                Jane,

This is from the BG website. I have cancelled bonus time the day after I booked it and not been charged a fee to cancel. I think they give you 24 hours to make complimentary changes on all reservations.

Cancellation and/or modification of a Bonus Time reservation more than 3 days prior to check-in is subject to a $50 fee. If a Bonus Time reservation is cancelled 3 days or less from check-in, a fee equal to one night’s stay plus tax will be charged. Changes or cancellations made within 24 hours of booking will not incur a fee.

                  Mark,

Thanks for the information. It seems like Bluegreen has very owner friendly policies. I never looked into Bluegreen points before. I can only compare it to Wyndham points. With my very very limited experience with the Bonus time, I can already tell it is far better than Wyndham. Here is what I like

                  1. Bonus time can only be used by owners. The Wyndham system is flooded with mega points renters. They use the VIP benefit to their advantage and rent for less than normal owner has to pay for MF.

                  2. No transaction fees. I don't have to plan my transactions so carefully.

Now if I can actually book the bonus time, I'd be thrilled also with no extra house keeping points for short stay!

YES, Bluegreen is very good to their owners.

The system is very straightforward and the rezzie reps are awesome!

One of the best parts is that we don't get nickel-and-dimed. Pay your annual maint/club dues, and use without extra outlay.

                      Agreed!

I love that the MF are reasonable for what we get.

I love that there is no reservations fee.

                      I love partial week reservations.

And most of all, I love that every single time I've called a Bluegreen phone number, I've gotten nice customer service

I've never heard of fixed weeks getting bonus time, just points accounts.
