  • Does maint. fees increase when purchasing from an authorized resaler?

We bought a small package of 9000 pts.biannual, but we are very limited as to where we can go. We don't want to increase our maint. fees of 450.00 a year. We are not very educated when its comes to timeshares.Which way is the best to go?

Regarding MF, it doesn't matter where or from whom you buy your points. MF is a function of the number of points and the Trust Fund that you are in. If your points are in Trust Fund A or C, the MF is also determined by which resort your points are with.

Actually, depending on what you own now and what you buy, you may be able to reduce your maintenance fees per point.

If you are interested in some options, send me a private message.

I was in the same boat as you, I had an 8000 biennial on even years I bought on ebay and was paying $400 to $472 in MF over the last couple years and I always thought "man, there is no way I could afford the MF's on anything larger" BUT then I learned about the trust funds! My 2010 MF bill was $472 and this year I bought an additional 8000 biennial on odd years off ebay (so basically 8K a year now) and my 2010 MF would have jumped from $472 to $634. So I doubled my vacation time for just $162 more a year. I so wish I would have done this years ago.

My points are all in trust fund E and you need to make sure all your deeds are in the same trust fund but really once you pay that base fee in E it really isn't much more to double or triple your points. After all my recent acquisitions I'll have 15,500 points annually and loving it! BTW, thanks for the great deal BocaBum! No more traveling home on the weekends for me.
