You have to register with each yahoo group (unless you want to join a group where no one has to okay your registration). And I have re-registered with a new name after not being active for some time (couple of years), since the old one didn't seem to be active.
When you request admission to the BG Yahoo Group, you are asked to explain why. If you ignore the question, or give a "flip" response, you will not be admitted to the group. Your stated reasons for joining are only shared with the Moderators. The response does not have to be lengthy but should be informative. We try to eliminate Spammers.

If your mailbox gets filled, or you change email addresses, or etc., and your messages are returned to Yahoo, you will be deactivated and then removed. If one is to be away from email for a significant time period, one can set their settings to "No Mail" to prevent filling up your mailbox and being deactivated. One can then review the discussion online after one returns. Yahoo has fixed its "Search" problem so you can search the archives but it can be tedious. I have not convinced all members to change the subject line when a new topic is started. (I guess I am also guilty since this message certainly does not belong under the "BG Annual Meeting" subject line.
I have never used a forum before. Where can I get help for asking questions....I have many. Thanks
Elliemay,
I assume you are talking about this forum. First, search the archives on the topic on which you have a question. TS4MS searching is not too bad. If the archives do not provide the answer, than start a new thread with an appropriate title. Do not use a non-informative title like "Help" or "A Question about BG". Make the title brief but informative so that you will catch the eyes of members who know something about it. Do not put a bunch of questions into one message. You will only get partial answers. You won't know if you are being ignored or if there really aren't any answers to your questions. If you have many questions which are not in the archives, start many threads (but not all at one time). If you want to know if Christmas Mountain Timbers have screened in porches, and there is a two year old thread on Christmas Mountain unit types, then fill free to just add a question to that thread. (This response really shouldn't be in this thread since the thread deals with the annual meeting. But, since you are a new member, I figured that you might not see my response if I started a new thread. And I could be quite wrong in that assumption.)
Thank you very much for the outstanding report of your attendance at the Bluegreen annual meeting. I was sure hoping that you would, when I learned of you going. I was hoping to go myself, but it didn't work out.
My sincere appreciation, I learned much from your report.
