  • Mountain Run at Christmas

Has anyone been here the week after Christmas?? How is the ski resort? We went to Christmas Mountain last year the week after Christmas and had a great time but thought we may try Mountain Run next year. What are your thoughts?? Thanks for all information. Thanks, John

    Mountain Run after Christmas

We were there after Christmas 2008 through New Years 2009. It was a great family vacation. The slopes are perfect for beginners, but this is the busiest time of the year for skiing at Boyne. That said, the lift lines were virtually nonexistent, maybe 3 minutes for the longest wait. Check out Northern Michigan Ski, Golf, Spa & Waterpark Resorts | BOYNE to find out what is going on around Christmas this year so you can book early next year. Besides skiing, my family enjoyed ice skating, sledding, snow tubing, snowmobiling, sleigh rides, swimming, and hot tubbing next to the snow. We also did dog sledding at Boyne Highlands, which is almost an hour away from Boyne Mountain and Mountain Run.

We have thought about trying Christmas Mountain sometime. How's the skiing there? What else is there to do? Is there anything else that makes it special?

Thank you for the information. We are going to plan a trip for next year after Christmas.

We really enjoyed CMV at that time of the year. The Dells has an indoor waterpark also and the ski resort at CMV is small, but very nice and not too crowded. It was the first time my kids had tried skiing. One really liked it, the other did not. ha If you are an advanced skier you probably would nt like this, but for the average Joe, we loved it, The tubing area was great also. We have beeen there in summer and winter and really like the area.
