I realized recently, that perhaps I do not understand the various types of ownership in Blue Green (BG). I am in hope that some of you could enlighten me.
Here is what I think I know. I started as a BG by purchasing from BG. For my money I got deeded weeks that are worth so many points. I believe my first were at Casa Del Mar, in later purchases these weeks and points were traded for other weeks and points at other resorts. I can opt to stay in my weeks 12 months in advance and if not, I can use the points to stay at other BG resorts. And, of course I can trade weeks or points to RCI.
I do see in looking at the timeshare markets that some people own weeks which are described as fixed or flex. This type ownership does not seem to equate to points. Is this correct? I also am aware that in some cases BG acquired other Timeshare resorts where some already owned weeks and they were able to retain their weeks or to join BGVC. Does this explain some of the fixed or flex weeks?
Thanks for responses.
