Depositing CMV UDI (and FREE white weeks) into RCI weeks

Just as a heads up, last Friday I deposited 4 CMV UDI weeks into my RCI weeks account. At first, the RCI rep resisted, saying BG owners couldn't deposit weeks any longer. When I explained that they were not weeks from BG points, but from floating weeks contracts, she said ok.

I will let y'all know if there are any hiccups in getting the weeks approved. Right now they're still showing as pending in RCI weeks.

Well, they ARE float weeks, so they should be able to be deposited. I own a fixed week (non-point) week with Wyndham and it is treated as a regular ownership.
In your situation, how do you do with TPUs as aren't these particular 'floats' considered late deposits?

My general understanding is that owners may not get alot of TPUs per deposit, but they can make ALOT of deposits - so they make it up in volume.

The Cottage weeks have cleared, the Timbers weeks are still pending.

I slipped in a fifth week: a triangulated free white week from CMV, just to test. It got bounced (I got e-mail saying so, although it still shows as "pending verification" on rci.com).

So, I called BG to ask what the policy was on depositing free white weeks to any exchange company. The BG rep said that, as he recalled it, the policy was that we could not deposit free weeks into ANY exchange company. I questioned that, and asked what had changed since last year (and noted that last year, I did deposit a free white week into RCI). He checked with his boss, who is also a BG/RCI liaison, and came back to say:

1) He was wrong; we can deposit into any exchange company except RCI, and

2) They are working to find some way for us to be able to deposit free white weeks into RCI.

This is purely a political/legal discussion between BG and RCI at this point, but they are hearing us.

Update: on 10 January, I got e-mail from RCI saying my attempted deposit of a CMV free white week had been returned. I noted that it was still listed as "pending verification" online.

Today I checked on my other deposits, and lo and behold, that deposit went through. I actually was hoping it wouldn't, because I was going to give it to Platinum Interchange to swap for a 2BR week at Lake Placid Club Lodges in February but, oh well...
