Rental car rates through BG Travelers Plus

I just booked a mini van in Kauai for June 2011 for $381 total for the week through Bluegreen's Traveler's Plus link.

I'd been pricing on Expedia and directly with a few rental car companies using coupon codes, and my best price was $601 for the week.

For my second week on the Big Island, Bluegreen TP got me an SUV for the week for $381. Best rate on Expedia was about $481.

Both weeks are cancelable should I find a better deal and include unlimited miles, etc.

I had a similar experience with the Traveler Plus car rental service for Orlando last fall. It was much cheaper than Priceline, Travelocity, Expedia, and the company websites. I was very surprised, because I hadn't been able to find any deals on their other booking services.

Have fun in Hawaii. We are headed to Kauai for the first time in March.

When I booked my car for my Orlando trip, I first checked the website and then made the call. I told the gal what I had found on the website, she checked into that and found a code to enter to get a better price.
