Club La Pension between the dates of March 11, 2011 and February 4, 2012. The Board of Directors recently made the difficult decision to close the resort for emergency restoration to address structural issues caused by water intrusion and other factors during the dates listed above. The Association’s Board determined it was necessary to move forward with the 11-month project before more villas become uninhabitable because of the structural issues. Due to the extensive work that needs to be completed, the resort will be closed for the duration of the major project that will also encompass much needed repairs to the roofs, building envelopes, plumbing, heating, air and ventilation systems, plus repairs and renovations to the interiors of the villas.

Thank you for posting!
Wow, tough decision to make for the HOA/BOD.
What will happen to all the people who have BGVC Points resies there as well as "week" owners at the resort?
-
The ressies are being cancelled, which is why we got the notice.
I don't know how this affects weeks owners at the resort.Lawren

There is going to be MANY unhappy people out there!
Does Glitter have a resie there or the Wyndham property?
The REALLY good news is that this will be a fully renovated (I am assuming) resort when they reopen - 11 months seems as if they will practically be rebuilding the place!

I imagine that there could be a special assessment for people who own directly at this resort and not thru BGVC....but those owners should have also been contacted directly by the resort.

Glitter will be at the Ritz
We've been at Wyndham the past two years. This year I had too many people/rooms to risk the last minute roulette needed for our ritual Thursday checkin.
I am SO glad we decided against this unknown despite the temptation. The Ritz farmed all their rooms out to Expedia for the Fest this year so we got a great deal. But by next year, this place may be just fine
What a mess for everyone! Sorry, Lawren!!

And yes, the newly renovated BG property probably will work with the required check-in date...
