Best method to sell BG points?

I am new to the forum... just found it actually.
My wife and I are ready to sell our 16,000 BlueGreen points after many years of ownership.
What is the best method to accomplish this and how do we determine the value/price for our points? At first I thought a standard real estate company was the way to go but I am not sure now. Thoughts, advice, ideas... all are welcome.

I cannot answer your question but you timing is bad. The market is way down, and I do mean down. Some people are literally giving away their ownership. But whatever you do, do not give any company any upfront money to sell your ownership. 99+% of these companies are fraudulent, they take your money and do little or nothing. See other similar threads in these and other discussion groups.

The bad news for you is, if you look over on eBay, you'll see many similar ownerships to yours with starting bids of $1.00 and going unbought. A major reseller of BG points has several clients giving away points; the buyers just pay closing costs and the next year's maintenance fees.

The upshot of this is that a reasonable expectation is that you'll get only a very small amount for your points. You might see if someone in the family is interested in them, and give them as a gift.

Steve brings up an important consideration. If you are a premier member (bronze level) which I assume you are, your premium benefits will transfer to relatives. However, if you simply resell your points on the open market, those benefits will not transfer. Check the BG Web site under "transfer of Points" for details.
