  • Pig in the poke

I discovered today that I had bought partial weeks, instead of whole weeks at the Fountains in January of 2010. I found this out when I attempted to make a priority reservation for one of my weeks and BG stated that it would be 16,000 points instead of the 8,000 points available in that account. After a lengthy discussion, the only explanation was that I had bought partial weeks.
Since I knowingly would never have purchased partial weeks, I checked all of paperwork and there was no indication that I was buying partial weeks. This was a resale and I am not blaming anyone, but myself for not doing due diligence in that purchase. I am surprised however, that the purchase was not fully described. The 24,000 points are good; it is just that I bought a “pig in the poke”.
I wanted to mention this in the forum, in case others might have unknowingly did this.

It doesn't matter. The fountains is such a big resort, you will never have trouble getting any week you want as long as you book far enough in advance. The priority week is only useful if you own something hard to get like a Big Cedar summer cabin or a Shore Crest I oceanfront July week.

        You are lucky.

If it was RCI weeks, a "Pig In a Poke" now takes 6 deposits and five exchange fees.
