I think from what i have looked at i will have enough pt for 2 bedroom. what i was wanting to know will have any speical rewards if i buy 15,000 points from a resale? I remeber some where the more points you have the better off you are at getting in. Is this true?

Harbor lights, even in the highest season requires only 12000 points for a 2 bedroom villa or 2 bedroom suite. The resort I like in the area is Shore Crest in North Myrtle where the Ocean Front 2 bedroom goes for 15000 points in the highest season.
If you are only buying 15,000, you won't have enough points to get any real extras. If authorized points, you will be Bronze level which will allow you to put in for your reservation a little earlier, but you are still at the bottom of the premier level. If they are just resale like ebay, they are just points with no early reservation chance.Don

You can book 11 months out, that is when the units are reserved for all levels. Bronze (if I can remember) can put in for the reservation 12 months out, Silver at 13 month, Gold 14 and Platinum at 15 months out. The reservation doesn't actually turn into a booking until 11 months, so if the Platinum are reserving something, then the lower levels have less chance down the line of getting the same time period. There are really only a few locations or time periods where you could not get a reservation at the 11 month mark, Big Cedar in the summer for one. Darned tough to get unless you have Platinum or Gold.Don
