  • Best vacation for a family with young kids

We want to book a cheap vacation that is hot and has lots for the kids to do (ie: slides, playground onsite)

I'm also wondering how the all inclusive works most I see are $100+ a day it seems better to book last minute through a travel agent then you get flight stay eat drink included for a lower price

With kids, you're probably not going to get a 'cheap' AI vacation, since that normally covers drinks. And especially if the only time you can travel is during spring break.

Look for non-AI in a popular Carribean destination on a beach. You won't be too worried about slides and playgrounds.

AI fees through RCI are typically no bargain and I agree it might be less expensive to go for a travel agent package if that's what you want.

An inexpensive alternative might be one of the mega resorts in Orlando - full kitchen, access to a large selection of selection of reasonably priced groceries, and plenty of onsite pools, etc.. for the kids.

If you are looking at Mexico, the Royals and the Mayans have a lot of amenities and no mandatory all-inclusive.
