Sampler cost applied to purchase

I was looking at our sampler paperwork last night and saw that if we decide to purchase within the year, what we paid for the sampler will be applied towards the purchase. I assume that is only if I purchase through BG. What if I purchase through an authorized agent…I lose that money? Also, unused points carry over. Will they carry over if I buy unauthorized?

I would guess if you buy authorized points it would carry over, but I don't really know. If I remember rightly the points carried over (we have unauthorized points), but remember that they will expire in a year and it can take some time for a resale purchase to be processed. So you could technically buy something before the points expire but still lose the points because the transfer doesn't go through in time.

Sampler?

I never heard of a sampler. Is this new? One thing you need to consider is what a great saving you can have by purchasing points from a previous owner. I would like to get rid of my 8,000 annual points if you are interested.

The purchase price of your sampler package only applies toward a purchase of points directly from the resort.

If you make a purchase from anyone else, you do not lose the money. You get a vacation out of it. You just don't get to apply the price of the sampler package toward the purchase. In 99.9% of the cases, the resale purchase is a better deal than the resort purchase less the price of the sampler package.
