As noted in several forums, timeshare maintenance fees in general seemed to have jumped in the last couple of years. The economy is showing signs of a possible double dip recession occurring within the next couple of years. If this occurs, which hopefully will not happen, the timeshare maintenance default rate will increase, driving up the maintenance fees for the remaining, contributing owners. If this is not handled carefully, the increases in maintenance fees then trigger ever increasing default rates, putting the system into a downward spiral.
Does anyone know what the Bluegreen Vacation Club's plan is for recovering delinquint maintenance fees?
