We have 10,000 points every other year that we have had for about 10 years. We are looking to increase our points. Buying them through a resort presentation is to high for us at this time. We paid less than $1.50 a point and have seen before that we can buy points through resale for this price or less. Is there a way to buy through a resale and combine both or exchange ours into a larger point amount and only pay the difference? What are the differences in buying resale and buying through BG? I do not know if anything has changed since we last looked. Thanks!

Send a PM to Bocabum on this board. He can assist you with buying resale BG points. He may even have an option to get inexpensive points that are qualified points - you just have to check with him. -
There are a couple of issues you will face.
1) If you purchase 10 years ago, you have an older package in an old Trust Fund. That means that the maintenance fees will combine in a sub-optimal way unless you do some type of upgrade. The good news is that you own a small package, so the difference in annual fees will probably only be around $150 per year.
2) If you decide to upgrade to a Premier level, that old package will be upgrade to have a more favorable maintenance fee program.
3) You can add really cheap points right now if you don't care about Premier features.
