Checking Availability Online with Bluegreen

I have found that checking for availability online with Bluegreen can be a very cumbersome process. The system is only set up to check within 3 days of your requested date range. So, I have not found any way to check for resort availability over a longer period of time. If I want to see when a 2 bedroom cabin is available on a weekend at Big Cedar over the next 6 months, I have to go through and enter every single weekend for the next 6 months to check availability. Is there some way of doing this that I am missing?

With our Marriott Vacation Clubs, we can go online and see when the unit is available for the next year in one search.

I am really hoping Bluegreen comes up with a more user friendly availability check in the future.

I agree that it's cumbersome. But then I go poke around on RCI for a while and suddenly the BG site looks great!

If you are referring to the RCI Points then definately would agree. VERY difficult to find anything. However think the weeks side of thing is much better. Looking forward to the new "Prizzma" system and Direct Exchange. Hopefully it will bring more advanced search features in addition to the ability to book Select Connections online.

What is the "Prizzma" system and Direct Exchange?

It has been advertised in the last couple of Colorful Places magazines and is the new reservation system. This will allow users to view real-time inventory and book Select Connections online so it allows "Direct Exchange" withouth having to contact BGU. Hopefully though it will add some additional ability to the regular system as well.

Some reservation systems will let you see a month at a time, and shows specific days that are "unavailable". Ironically the BlueGreen Rental site allows this, where you see a month and it will tell you exactly which days are full.

That means No picking a 3 or 4 day reservation, and selecting +/- 3 days, having to do this multiple times, waiting for the system to update each time. You can then go month by month and see what is available for an entire month so if say a 3 day rental is not available you might be able to squeeze in a two day etc.

By real time, I suspect that is what they mean and perhaps they have just been piloting it on the rental side prior to utilizing it internally. If anybody from BGU is reading this, looking forward to this type of system!
