  • Preimer Waiting List

How do you use the waiting list?

Do you have to pay your maintenance fee early to use the waiting list?

Which resorts would you need to use the waiting list for?

My understanding is that you simply have to call and add yourself at the appropriate time based on your membership level.

Not that I am aware of.

I can recommend a couple, Hershey Suites during prime seasons, as well as Big Cedar. Most of the associate resorts would probably require the waiting list during popular months as well.

      See my availability posts

Look in the Bluegreen hoa forum for my posts on-availability of various resorts in peak season.

Hershey in summer (not on my posts) is generally not difficult to get een in summer. I'll add it to the posts for documentation, but last summer every time I looked there was availability even at well under 11 months.

Big cedar summer, big cedar cabins any time, Florida beachfront in winter, and myrtle beach oceanfront summer would all be things I'd waitlist for.

Prepaying fees isn't required to be on the waitlist, but having the correct season points available in your account when the reservation is confirmed at the 11 month window is.

For example, my anniversary is Sept 1st. I can waitlist for a high red Christmas week at 14 months. I pay my maintenance fees in November when they are due. I can then have my next September points posted to my account, I now have high red points availble for the following December. (The current points on my account will have converted to saved before the week requested.) Having these points posted to my account once the maintenance fees are paid also allows me to be ready to waitlist for the following summer.

Sept is a great anniversary date, that you don't have to technically prepay, but get the benefits of prepaying.

        I hope this makes sense.
