We are new in the Bluegreen Premier program - currently silver. One of the perks is a one category upgrade, if available 2 days out. It seems like most of the resorts we have been to are pretty sold out. Has anyone had any luck with getting upgrades as Premier owners, or is it a real long shot?

Been Silver for about 2 years now and have never gotten an upgrade. -
As a follow up, we just tried to use our premium upgrades at three properties and couldn't use it at any of them. However, I must say I am probably glad we didn't get upgraded at the last property - oceanfront units are one bedroom, so we got oceanfront. Had we been upgraded to the two bedroom we wouldn't have. So, I guess you need to really know your properties.Comment

We have just made it a point of going for what we want rather than trying to get an upgrade. It seems to be so seldom that we are using our time when there are upgrade possiblities.DonComment

I agree. It was one of those perks that sounded great at the time we purchased the last batch of points, but in reality - it is almost never available so you can't count on it. Kind of like the waiting list that everyone has been complaining about. Sounded great, but doesn't always work so well for those of us that don't have major amounts of points.Comment

We also just book what we want instead of trying for an upgrade since we have never been successful. Once for Pono Kai I called Bluegreen for an upgrade and we didn't get it. When we got to Kauai, I went by (we were staying somewhere else the first two days) to see about an upgrade and they did have a 2br, but charged me for it. I never said anything because that's what I wanted. Was gonna complain to Bluegreen, but we had such a fabulous time on Kauai that I didn't feel like bitchin when I got home!!!!Comment
