  • Traveler's plus website changes

For those who do not check often there have been some changes to the website under Traveler’s Plus. Hot Weeks Getaways is now the first link and RCI second.

Looks like we are getting closer to Direct Exchange for SC reservations as the link is now there (still takes you to the old page though so now ability to reserve yet).

Most notable is the change to "World Hotels", which they now call Hotel Point Stays. There appears to be many additions to the list giving more options. Where there were previously only 2 Canadian Hotels both in BC there are over 30 across the Country. No point values chart, but much more selection (at least for me)

This must have been the "more hotels that can be booked" the sales person told me about at my last presentation. She tried to tell me that I would not get access unless I upgraded for this “version 3 feature”. Appears they were wrong!

Thanks. I had called several months ago and they had offered me the additional hotels. You get $0.40 per point. It costs me $0.52ish per point a d they are using just okay rates. But if u have points to burn it is a good option.
Looking forward to Shell VC inventory to be online.

You mean that someone from sales told you something that you would only get by buying more points...and they were wrong? Thank goodness this doesn't happen often.

In the Yahoo BG group, it was explained that current platinum members have the TP3 program automatically which includes some outdoor program too. Otherwise, you have to upgrade to get into TP3.

This is what was explained on that forum and I know most of you are there too but some of you are not:

Level 1 is cash only. Cannot use points for Hotels or Cruises or select connections
Level 2 is Points or cash for everything
Level 3 includes outdoor Traveler Experience.
        Log in to bluegreeenonline
        Click on travelers plus
        Click on cash smart
        Click on outdoor travel experience

Platinum owners and new owners that have bought at a certain date and on, automatically have TP3 otherwise you have what you already have. There are no changes.

(Thank you to Mila for this information copied directly off a paper received at an owner update.)

So does that mean that the change from WorldHotels to HotelStays with additional accommodations is not actually a TP 3 feature? Also, what is the threshold date of which people who purchased automatically got TP 3? Perhaps I am in that group as I am not a platinum member!

So if I understand this the RV stuff, etc that was previously only avialable for cash can now be purchased using points? Not something I have every used but worth exploring as I do enjoy camping as well.

I just logged in and looked, I am neither a platinum owner, nor have I upgraded recently, and I see the outdoor adventures under cash smart

I am not sure this program has been fully released. I heard that the new qualification date is 7/1/11.

I don't know the exact list of new features. The ones I heard were not that impressive.

Select Connections and Hot weeks are the most important features.

We are new to Bluegreen as of last August(2010) I am confused about the traveler plus 1 2 and 3 . I was interested in buying tripsetter points to pay for camping. It would cost between 15-20 a night for a campsite. That was how I learned that I am not eligable for that because it is a TP3 feature. Bluegreen has invited us up for orientation next week, was wondering if you have to buy points from them to get an update? We currently own 7000 bi- annual points. week 18 Odd. (fountains) Just wondering If anyone else has read about tripsetter points? Its a Rv/camping feature listed on the BG website under both cash smart and pointsmart tabs. Also, there are more perks as far as cabin rental etc under the 2011 "TP3" program.

I got a free TP a few years ago and have kept it renewed each year. I see Outdoor Adventures (RVs, Owner Adventures and Grand Yacht) under Cast Smart... I am very curious about this Tier 3 / TP3 stuff.

some one the Yahoo group said

                    With TP3:
                    > You can stay at any Disney property - (I was told the points value was lower
                    > than the Fountains.) They said it was the Disney HOTEL properties.
                    that would be interesting.

                      Any updates on Direct Exchange

Anybody heard any news on when DirectExchange is going to be done? The ability to book Select Connections online was SUPPOSED to be back in June, but have still seen hide nor hair of it. Was really hoping to see this released in hopes that it would add additional functionality to the rest of the online reservation system.

                          Not surprised

Not surprising, as I person who has worked with IT for awhile I know how much they do not get along sometimes.
