My family and I just came back from a great weekend at Shenadoah Crossing in a VIP yurt - all the result of a Bass Pro visit last year. I guess you all know the rest of the story. We liked the pitch and the value, so we're new "owners." However, not feeling real good about getting the best deal, mostly not having done a lot of research prior to the trip, I'm back looking at the forum posts. Now, I feel a bit more informed and a bit relieved that I can actually cancel the contract - not disclosed but I think I can understand why. Anyways, I'm leaning towards rescinding right now but just want to hear that I didn't really get the best deal:
10K points for $18K, Charter Member w/traveler's plus, 2nd year 4K point bonus, certificate for 3day/4night Cruise for 2 (available after 6 months payments).
I get the feeling I'll be paying too much for my points. Downside to BG for us is most resorts are not close by (Washington DC area) and 10K points aren't enough for full week during summer. I do like idea of BG flexibility of points with paying for bonus nights. I'm a bit new to the idea of planning vacations months ahead, but since this one was "booked" last Nov, I could get used to it. Salesman was pretty low key and did mention several times learning the system. So, cancel contract and do my research?
Tks much,
Ken
