  • Should I attend the Owners Update, or not?

    Hi all,

I'm thinking about attending the owner's update when I visit Bluegreen this
year. I know up front that I wouldn't buy any more points. I'm in Bluegreen's
records as not having attended an update since 2006.

I was told by a sales person in the past that I shouldn't attend again until I'm
ready to buy, because I will be able to buy at the old prices not the new
    prices.

    Is this true?

I would want to attend to get the free goodies offered, but don't want to cost
myself more if I ever wanted more qualified points in the future.

I already have some qualified points, but not enough to qualify for premier
level. I probably wouldn't buy through BG because the cost isn't worth it to me
upgrade to premier, as compared to what I could buy for on the resale market.

    What are your thoughts?

    Thanks in advance.

I am a Gold owner and I would not go.
It is Only a sales pitch. Nothing more.

You could possibly learn something about what BG is doing in an update/sales pitch. May or may not be worth the time. Anything that is said you'll have to ask if it's rumor, fact, a sales ploy, a flat out lie, etc.

There is no "old" price. If you were thinking about buying more points you just hold out, hold out, hold out and they'll magically come up with a points pkg that is cheaper per point. Another option is simply to offer to pay $1.25 per point and no more.

So, who knows if an update is really worth the time.....

I did an owners update a month ago at Shorecrest and received a $100 visa card. We were only there for a little over and hour. I thought that was worth it and probably wouldn't attend one for anything less.
