and thanks for the offer but i cant get off that week this year and am interested in the points not a fixed week as we like to try new places
You want to get all your points in one trust fund so that you have ONE base fee of $320 + $0.045 per point
so 10K points will be $320 + 0.045X10,000 - $320+$450=$770
and 20K points will be $320 + 0.045x20,000 - $320+900=$1220
and 25K points will be $320 + 0.045x25,000 - $320+1125=$1445
and 30K points will be $320 + 0.045x30,000 - $320 +1350=$1670
and 40K points will be $320 + 0.045x40,000 - $320 + 1800=$2120

They are worth less if you dont use them the first year as in the season you can use them in.
The third year even less, as in only off season which makes them prety worthless.
You can extend their life by putting them into RCI but tbh Itried that myself and found it pretty useless.
The bottom line is if you dont own enough points that give you early booking priveleges then you have little to no chance of getting high season weeks.
If I am wrong on any of these points someone please correct me!.
Oh after the third year they disapear unless they are in RCI

Option 1: You can make an RCI reservation that you will use in the first, second, or third year but you have to make it during the first year. Option 2: During the second year you can make a reservation but the reservation has to be used within 180 days (used to be 45 days but BG announced this change. I do not know if they implemented it.)

Has this changed ?
Anyway I did this myself a while back only to find that nothing was available when I tried to book.
Unfortunately I am not able to wait till the last minute to book anything witch is probably the best/only way to get anything worthwhile from RCI.

To do what you want to do, use a different exchange company than RCI.
