Can anyone give me any information on the newest segment of travelers plus through bg? I understand you have to purchase points after July 2011. I was just wondering what the benefits are.

I am not an expert, but I went to an update this AM and learned that Travelers Plus Three is a whole new ball game. It goes far beyond the regular TP and opens up options for any RCI Properties and new hotel options such as Hilton Family, all on points. Maybe someone with enough knowledge (like beyond mine) will post something that is easy to understand. My option was for 3000 points (special offer) for $2.10 per point. Not available through Pinnacle. Bluegreen is really changing how it procures new properties so they say, and the new properties will be "fee for service" properties, which to me, sounds something like the current affiliate resorts. Sorry I don't understand it better. Somebody help us with some better information.

As you surmised, Fee for Service is just another way of acquiring inventory to sell into the BG Vacation Club. The difference is that corporate BG does not first buy the unit/weeks and then sell it to new owners (or as updates to old owners). Instead they are an agent and sell it for the current developer or HOA and take a commission on the sale. No idea what the % is. But it adds new resorts into the club. The disadvantage to the members is that inventory available to club members builds up slowly (only as fast as units are sold). Under the old business plan, I believe BG made all of the acquired inventory available to Club Members right from the get-go.

Yes, that's the problem. Many times with the affiliate resorts the original owners keep their prime weeks. When that happens, the Vacation Club doesn't have access...makes it hard to get into resorts during prime time.
