IF anyone is interested? I want to sell my bi-year 8,000 point Bluegreen club membership at cost for what I owe on it. I'm in the USAF and used the club three or four times and enjoyed it but do to military commitments my wife and I want to sell it straight out. We are not looking at trying to make any money on it. Also in case you all havent heard, bluegreen is no longer expanding and nearly all memberships have been sold. So pretty soon the only way to get a membership will be by buying it from a current club member.

Curious
Hello All,
am at club36 in las vegas, went through the pressure cooker yesterday
the pitch was $32,000 for 20,000 points annually that can be used at "any" of their resorts. after $32,000 is paid off still get 20,000 points annually (for any resort) - just have to pay annual maintenance fee of around $1100
not interested in $32,000...
"might" be interested in picking one up from a person wanting to dump theirs... just need out or cannot pay the annual maintenance fee's etc.
Here is my (first) confusion...
On ebay (for example) all that is for sale is timeshares seemingly attached to a "specific" location. not 20,000 points that can be used anywhere (any blue green)
Someone please clear the fog and explain what I am missing and where I can get in trouble
Thanks
Brian

points are always attached to something, an underlying unit week (or partial week).
You have priority on your 'owned week' for reserving, and some are adamant that they only buy the week they want.
I, however, am a Points are Points person and hardly care what unit week my points are attached to as I have no intention of returning to the same place same time every year.

I don't watch e-bay, but every time I've checked the sales boards here or at TUG, there have been BG points available for transfer fees or not much more.

Sell my BlueGreen Membership
My wife and I are only asking $9,000 for our 8,000 points. They can be used at any Blue green resort. We normally get our points once every two years. When not using the points we can stay at any bluegreen resort for only $59.00 a night. As I said before being in the Military does not allow me the time to take off when I want to go on vacation.
When we get the 8,000 points, the first 4,000 must be used by the first year or they expire, they don't role-over.

I'm guessing you haven't read the other comments on this post. One referred you to eBay, where there currently are contracts priced as low as $1. just to try and give you a perspective on what resale values are in the current market.
You need to spend time reading the various posts in these forums. If you are not aware of what realistic resale price should be expected for your timeshare ownership, you make yourself an easy target for scam artists who profit from consumer ignorance and apathy.
This is an incredible venue with free information for anyone willing to spend 30 minutes to read and learn.. That half hour could save you thousands of dollars, and could also help you to learn more about what you own. You may find that your best option is to keep your timeshare, and simply try different strategies you can learn from other owners to squeeze as much usage and value from it as possible.my travel website: Vacation-Times.org.

1) Thank you for your service.
2) As I noted in previous messages, due to the current economic conditions, people are literally giving away their Timeshares and some are even paying the transfer fees. I picked up 13,000 annual points for $10 and can't afford to pick up any more free ones.
3) I would suggest that you keep your points and rent out reservations to relatives or friends until you are out of the military and can travel on your schedule and not someone else's.

need to sell - are you looking to buy?
Hi Brian,
I have a Bluegreen timeshare "attached" to the Fountains Resort in Florida. I get 14,000 points every year in August. You can use these points at any Bluegreen (or transfer points to RCI Resorts).
My ex-husband and I bought the timeshare years ago for $18,000. Don't do this - you can buy for a LOT less!!!
If you are really interested in buying a Bluegreen timeshare, I am looking to sell mine. I don't have the time to go on vacations nor do I have disposable income to pay the maintenance fees every year.
I'm looking to sell my timeshare, and get it off my hands, for the cost of my maintenance fee, which is $1,005.00
Please reply of you're interested and I can give you more details.

Hello Charles,
Is that fairly common to find just Bluegreen points for that cheap?
Thank you,
Shauna
