I can tell you all about Disney points. But Bluegreen ... I read some posts and I feel like I'm reading dispatches from the Romanian Department of Sanitation or something - it's all foreign! ;-) And sometimes even a thorough search doesn't help much.
Anyway. We're considering a BG purchase. A lot of resale ads I see show both weeks and points in their copy. Help me understand - if I bought a week, does that convert to points should I want to stay somewhere other than my "home resort"? (That's Disneyspeak ... not sure of the BG terms.) For example, if I were to buy at Hershey for a set week, does it convert for X number of points should I wish to stay at La Pension in New Orleans, at a time other than the fixed week at Hershey?
And, when an ad states you're purchasing, say, 10K annual points, but there is still a week mentioned in the copy, is that because it's a deeded property and has to be attached to a week and a unit?
I think I understand how biannual weeks work, but correct me here, if necessary: If I bought 15000 biannual points at a resort, then I'd have two years to use 'em all, in whatever increments suited us. True?
I just wanted to have these questions clear in my mind before I correspond with any potential sellers. We need to be speaking the same language, and sellers have to serve their own personal interests first, typically, and that's fine - capitalism ROCKS.
Thanks in advance for your patient help!
