Inconsistent Season Designations

Ok, maybe this is a little anal but does anybody else find some of BlueGreen's season info a little off-putting?

For example, most resorts have a Blue, White, Red and High Red season. So why does La Cabana use Red, High Red, Ultra Red and "Special Season". Why not call it Ultra, Ultra Red? Is "Leaf Season" the same as "Ultra Red" or "Special Season"?

I get trying to restrict the use of saved points but how many different names do you need for the same thing!

I'm going to go out on a limb and say they aren't teh same. Leaf Season would not be the same as another special season in the same place, cuz there wouldn't likely be leaves!

I guess I don't care what they call them, just wanna know # points!

Ditto that.

Although I'm admittedly bugged by the fact that their "red" for red season looks orange to me. Which is totally different from being bugged by the various names.

Because Aruba in any season is worth more then blue and white in Florida or Big Cedar
There is no off season there so even the season with lowest demand is still red.
And they don't have any leaves to peep at there so need a different name

I will admit the first time I came across "Leaf Season" I was, like, WTF is that?

High Red is high red whatever they choose to call it. Just another thing to wrap your mind around.

I was wondering if some of these seasons were in place per resort when BG gobbled them up? Obviously, for a still non-bg mgd resort, there would be no conversion to a BG standard.

I agree. However I can see why BG would put a unique designation on certain weeks at certain resorts so as to point out to members that there is a reason why the points are much higher for those weeks as compared to other weeks.
