  • Blue Green Trust Question

    Hello,
My husband and I just purchased 7000BG points from ebay. I believe it it in trust fund B/sale type N. We want to purchase more points because we know the 7000 will not be enough. We are newbies and dont understand the whole trust thing and how it works. Is there a place I can go to get the answers I need or can someone explain the best way for us to purchase more points.
    Thanks
    Kim

You have a good package if all you want is a small amount of points. However, when you decide you want more, you will start over paying for maintenance fees.

If you are going to want more than about 13000 points annually, you will should have Trust Fund E points.

If you want to switch to such points, let me know. I'll take a trade in on your current points and offer you all points in a Trust that has better maintenance fees for how many points you want.

Jim explained the best way for you to acquire more points. I have worked with him and he is honest, easy to work with, and will help you get to where YOU want to go, point wise. For more information about BG Trust Funds, join the Bluegreen Yahoo group and look in the FAQ under "Trust". There is also a MF caluculator which allows you to put in the number of points and to see what the MF would be. Compare 8000 points in B and 8000 in E. Then do the same for 16000 in B and 16000 in E. Then do the sum of 8000 in B and 8000 in E. Curiosity got the best of me, I had to do it myself:

        8000 B $674
        8000 E $680

        16000 B $1178
        16000 E $ 1040

        8000 B plus 8000 E $1354

B types have a history of special assessments that are not included in the calculations. There aren't many out there either since they tended to be lock off units where the owner only paid maintenance fees on one of the two units which is why they were artificially low.

If you are going to build your points total, buy Trust Fund E, sales type Y.
You will only pay one base fee $ 320.00

Whats the significance of sales type Y? What if I have two E's, with different sales types?
