How does it work? Is it worth it? I have been accepted, but have not signed up yet. Is there an annual fee?

    Blue Green Credit Card

I have one and if it worked the way it should,it would be a good deal. I used in November 2012 and still have not been credited with points. I will be dealing with this problem. This is also a credit card that you need to pay the balance each month, as the interest rates are prohibitive.

So does anybody have any experience with the best way for clearing this up? We started using the card in September-----have YET to see any dividends deposited with BG. Yet, the Barclay's bill every month shows the amount of dividends and the same amount of dividends "transferred". Guess the big question is "WHERE"? Haven't had a lot of knowledge or assistance from the call center. And of course, Barclay's says "we transferred them". Seven months now.....

This has been a perennial problem with the card. What I would do is apply for a Fidelity Investments Reward Card and get 2% cash back on every purchase. No limit. Automatic deposits into your Fidelity account whenever you accrue $100. Then, just use the card to pay your maintenance fees. Never have to worry about getting credit for purchases or failing to get a reward.

I use the card and have just been living with the issue, *sigh*. The points are not consistently transferred plain and simple. It does take a bit for the initial transfer to go (about 6 months in my case) and following that I ve seen stretches of every month rewards deposited, every few months, or even multiple times in a month to "catch up"... from what I understand Barclay blames Bluegreen and Bluegreen says there working on the system.

            BG Master Card

I have reviewed the postings on this issue and realize that I'm not the only one experiencing difficulty in obtaining the rewards. I have contacted both Barclay's and Blue Green. Barclay's basically claims that they transfer the credits to Blue Green, monthly and the problem is Blue Green's. I pointed out to Barclay's that there is nothing on their web-site that indicates credit accumulation.

Regarding my contacting Blue Green several times and by several means, I was provided a research number and told that the discrepancy would be looked into. I am expecting that I will receive the rewards in the next several months. In the meantime, I have shut off the use of the card.

Thanks Jim for your posting, it reminded me that I already have much better means of accumulating cash rewards using other credit cards, that don't seem to have any problems in conducting transactions.

We got our Barclay card in Feb when we went to an update. We have decided not to activate. We get more dollar rewards with our Discover card (5% rewards on gas for the first three months of this year. Different percentages for other categories). We figure that is a better deal than Barclay, and we can transfer these reward dollars to pay our dues if we want.
