  • 7 people in a 2br at the Suites at Hershey?

3 adults and 4 children(Under 10 years old)I've never been this close to capacity before, usually i like to travel so that each person (or couple) has their own bedroom, but this trip, it doesn't look like that will be possible....I'm thinking throw the 4 kids in the second bedroom(2 beds) i take the master(i paid for the room) and give give the other two parents the Sleeper sofa

I've never stayed at the Suites at Hershey before...the Occupancy says 8, and this is only 7, but i'm still not sure...How bad are the sleeper sofas? Would you do it? or would you try to find a second room? Should i ask for a low floor so i don't drive the people below me crazy? I'm a bit worried

I hope it doesn't come to that, but i am going to bring a single(Queen sized) air mattress in case the pull out couch is horrible

This was going to be one of those daddy/daughter vacations that always end up awesome, but a friend of mine has a son(Same age as my daughter) who was diagnosed with Leukemia a few months ago...So this is now a "Test" Vacation for them to see if Disney at the end of the year is a viable option...I couldn't say no to that....I'm going to search for the next couple weeks to see if i can get a deal on another room for them...

ETA: i just realized the person i emailed on ebay about under cutting their price is a member here

I remember you posting about this little boy when he was diagnosed. How is he doing?

He's been in and out of the hospital, just shaved his own head to get ahead of the hair loss from the chemo, imo a good thing, lets him be in charge...everytime i see him he looks fine....but i'm no doctor and it seems my friend posts about him having low 'counts' daily....so from what i've read and seems, he's been up and down

Its a scary thing, my daughter and him are just a few months apart....

We've stayed there twice. Seven people will be tight, but it's doable. The units aren't small...but they're not that big, either. You had better all be really good friends; it's going to be like a giant slumber party.

You walk from the front door right into the kitchen, and the kitchen is open to the living room. So no privacy there. On the positive side, the bedrooms are on opposite sides of the living room.

One of our teenagers used the sofa bed when we were there. She said it was okay. It will be small for two grown-ups. Since you're being nice enough to take the family on vacation...you might want to go whole hog and let them have the master bedroom. I'm just saying.

A good thing about the resort is that it's right next to a strip mall with a Starbucks and a restaurant--a Red Robin or a Chili's? Also, the main building has a small lounge area with internet access and a TV, and the pool and hot tub are in the center building. All walkable.

Wacky, what is the second bedroom configuration?
I would be more inclined to put the second couple in the second bedroom with a few kids and put Rides DD on a blow up mattress in the master with Ride.

I'm trying to remember--I think it was two double beds, like Ride says.

Yes, it is. Here are the floor plans.

This is nothing. I have seen 14 people in a 1 BR T/S before. Now that is crowded.
