  • Bi-annual point question

I just picked up a bi annual set of points 10K odd years. My question is about expiration dates and saving points. The accounts are listed as follows on the BG web site.

account pts exp date point type Action next earn date
    XXXX 2,500 8/31/2012 Borrowed Need to Save 9/1/2013 5000
    XXXX 2,500 8/31/2012 Borrowed Need to Save 9/1/2013 5000
    XXXX 2,500 8/31/2013 Biennial Borrowed N/A 9/1/2013 5000
    XXXX 2,500 8/31/2013 Biennial Borrowed N/A 9/1/2013 5000

Now my question is the points that are from the "second" year and are now borrowed that expire in 2013. Can I save them (next year) to make them saved points good till 2014?

    Thanks
    Greg

    Greg,

My understanding is that all of your points in your account at the time of paying the fee will be converted to "Will be saved". Unfortunately the fee to save policy hasn't been around long enough for us to learn of all of the quirks of the application of the policy so many of us are reluctant to say "This is how it is!".

I have 300 points from my original account that need to be saved by the end of the month. My reading of the policy seems to indicate that this will trigger the ones that expire in Aug to be saved, in august. We'll see.

My question was more geared towards are the second set of points in a biannual account eligible for saving at all?

      Thanks

2nd Year of Bi-annual not Saveable

That's my understanding, the second half of a bi-annual are good for two years and cannot be saved. The first half is good for one year and then can be saved for one more year.
