  • Big Bear Lake is newest Bluegreen Resort !!!!!

    Hey Everyone .....

Just heard yesterday that Bluegreen has confirmed a deal with an unnamed resort at Big Bear Lake in California. This will be Bluegreens first resort in that state. It will have a similar look and feel to the resort like Big Cedar. Log Cabins, Lodges etc all located around Big Bear Lake. It really sounds awesome !!

I wonder if it is Lagonita Lodge in Big Bear. We live just 90 minutes from Big Bear and have visited many times. Our son used to do triathalons at Big Bear. We have stayed at Lagonita Lodge a couple times. Lagonita Lodge is right on the lakeshore.

      Taken from BlueGreen's website, and now available for online booking it appears;

THE CLUB AT BIG BEAR VILLAGE
      40671 VILLAGE DRIVE
      BIG BEAR LAKE, CALIFORNIA 92315
      909.878.2700

***Big Bear is presently only available through the use of Bonus Time. Resort inventory is expected to become available for limited owner use beginning January 2013. Advanced reservations may be taken beginning in late fall 2012. Certain regulatory approvals are pending which must be obtained prior to Points being available to book a vacation at Big Bear. Proposed amenities and planned availability based on current business plans and subject to change without notice.***

The Club at Big Bear Village in the mountains of Southern California is idyllic, remote and replete with exciting alpine adventures. Enjoy everything this outdoor paradise has to offer on your next Bluegreen vacation to Big Bear Lake. If you like to stay active, this beautiful destination is for you. Take a big deep breath of fresh mountain air and get ready to play. From water skiing, wakeboarding, ziplining and pontoon boat rentals to snow skiing, horseback riding, kayaking and guided helicopter tours, you’ll never be at a loss for things to do.

Back at the resort, you can relax in your choice of spacious three-bedroom (2,045-sq. ft.) or four-bedroom (2,843-sq. ft.) villas. Fire up the grill on your balcony or prepare a home-cooked meal in your full kitchen. Unwind in a whirlpool bath then kick back in front of the TV with a movie on DVD. There’s also a fireplace for cozy evenings indoors. Every unit features a washer and dryer to make you feel at home. Amenities at this luxurious resort are plentiful. Go for a swim in the seasonal outdoor heated pool. Work up a sweat in the private fitness center or shoot a game of pool in the adult billiards room. You can even find rooms specially created for teens and kids. For those who want to jump into fun in the sun, there’s a nearby beach that features a trampoline.

        "spacious three-bedroom (2,045-sq. ft.) or four-bedroom (2,843-sq. ft.) villas. "

This is the only BAD news - all the units are listed as 'presidential" with usually comes with a big point requirement.

It's a REALLY nice place. Luxurious even. I just read a review that said there were jacuzzi tubs in ALL 3 of the bedrooms.

          Anderson Windows
          Jacuzzi Baths and Steam Showers

          Surround Sound in Great Room
TV and Stereo in Each Bedroom
          Downsview Kitchen Cabinetry
          Fremarc Furnishings
          Morgan Stewart Furnishings

Previous RE listings online mention member owned boat docks. Does Bluegreen mention access to boat docks?

Did not see anything about boat docks. All that is available on the BG website is stated above. No point chart yet either.

Anyone yet know what the point requirements are for these units? I am assuming gargantuan. I know virtually nothing about Bluegreen, but just found about the new California resort today. Might consider picking up some points if I could regularly book this every summer or winter. Looks incredible.
