Ebay resale and RCI

If I buy resale points from ebay will I have access to the RCI exchance? I thought I read on this forum that it was included in the club dues but I can't seem ti locate it again. Thanks.

Yes, your club dues include an RCI membership.

Sorry to kick up an old thread - but I have a question on this.
Does the "access" to the RCI Exchange actually include a membership in RCI in all cases? (does not matter how/where you buy into BG - all include RCI?)
(I am currently RCI Weeks and RCI Points and am considering adding Resale BG - it would be especially attractive if it would cover my RCI membership)


Second question - I've heard about an AIM program between BG and RCI where for $ 50.00 you can convert an RCI deposit into BG points. (cold be a handy tool - avoiding RCI Exchange fees)

1. BG resale ownership comes with an RCI weeks membership that you access thru a portal.
There is a fixed grid - example - 2BR caribbean = 20,000 BG points plus RCI exchange fee $209, 1BR Caribbean - 13,000 BG Ponts plus $209 exchange fee. Sometimes this is a good deal and sometimes it is not.

This would not replace your current RCI membership - as an RCI points member you are required to pay for and keep that membership - and they give you a RCI weeks membership for 'free'

2. The AIM program is for owners who by directly from BG or buy qualified points ($1.25/pt) thru Pinnacle Vacations.

Steve NH if you buy just a weeks resort in the BG system then it does not come with a "free" RCI membership.
There are some BG resorts that have traditional weeks ownership mixed in with their points system ownerships.
I own in their weeks system, not BG points and I have to pay for my own RCI membership.

Good point Chris, I had assumed Steve was asking about the Bluegreen Vacation Club Point ownership….
There are resorts that are part of the BGVC but have owners that pre-date Bluegreen Management and still have weeks ownership - La Cabana Aruba comes to mind…there are fixed week owners and people whose BG ownership is deeded there.

So, which are you asking about?

Yes the first response answered my questions. I would still have to maintain my current RCI points membership to work with my current Weeks and Points resorts.
Was thinking of buying BG resale points resort. The "Charter" package (which as I understand you would not get if buying resale) has little to no appeal to me.
I do like the concept of no exchange fees if staying within the BG system.
