  • Question about expiring points

    Hello all,

I have about 18000 points expiring at the end of Oct. I just made a reservation for next April and the online system happily took 14000 points that are about to expire. I thought that I have to save the points before I can use them after the expiration date, or did I miss something here?

If indeed I can use the points for next years reservation, what happens if I cancel the reservation after the expiration date? Do I get the points back? If I save the points, does it changed the scenario?

Seems to me that you have Current Points and the April reservation is for Saved Points. My guess is that if you do not save the points, the reservation will vanish. I would also have thought you would need to save them first.

You are best to call in to make sure what happens, but if you cancel, the points should come back to you IF you saved them.

Maybe Bluegreen DID save the points and allow OP to make the April 2013 resie - if that is the case, the other 4,000 points wil also be saved as one fee pays for a year of 'saving'.

As Boardie says - call back to verify that they did save your points.
