Free Weeks question

This has probably been asked before but I couldn't find it on the forum. Regarding the free weeks one gets with Gold and Platinum ownerships, do they apply to any type of accommodation? Meaning, do they apply to a studio or a 3-bedroom all the same as long as it's during the white or blue season? Also, can these reservations be made in someone else's name or only in the owner's name? We like to gift vacations to family and wondered if we could do the same with free weeks.

Yes, they can be any size unit as long as white or blue. Yes, you can gift them or deposit with an exchange company (other then RCI)
