BG now depositing to II & RCI directly for us.

    I have read on the yahoo group about the unit number blocking for regular agents.
    Yes, free white week is for gold and platinum owners.

    I believe when u deposit Christmas mountain in II, they only ask u for unit size, not unit number....could u or Chris confirm this for me please. in II

Since I am not familiar with how they "distribute them" is it possible to instead make a reservation with your white week, and then give THAT to II? Just deposit by going to II first with a deposit and a reservation number?

    Maybe it's not a requirement to go up the ladder, just take an alternate root. Very frustrating though I am sure.

      Unit # has always been required for me, but most of the time I call. That is because II does not yet have a system in place to deposit the supplementary weeks. I can deposit one unit a year without having to call, but for every other deposit I do.

      That being said, I have always given them the same unit number regardless and I have never called Bluegreen. I always go straight to II, since BG does not generally assign that until the last minute I just provide the same unit # I have in the past. Kind of like the dumming confirmation number I used to use for searching 123456789. To date, there have never been any issues when they contact BG to verify the desposit.

      I can also tell you that every time I make a reservation with Bluegreen if I even hint that I am going to give it to an exchange company they ask, and then it get's marked in their system. So I tell them not to, so that I have an opportunity to rent it first, and then if it doesn't I call II and give it to them. I am thinking that if you call II, you can probably give them any unit number, they just need something populated in thier computer system.

        I haven't tried to rent anything yet so all my 20 plus transactions have been depositing.
        So far both RCI and II ask me for the unit # and check in date. They also ask me how many bedrooms.
        I even give them the reservation number.
        This is the first time I haven't called myself.
        I still don't see either deposit in my account so I'll give it a few more days and call myself if this doesn't work correctly.

          Haven't attempted deposit anywhere in eons, so just responding to this piece: it is a very simple matter to make a field invisible to the user. It is probably still there, maybe even still with a unit number in it.

          Guessing on the "when RCI changes, why must Bluegreen?" I will assume it has to do with keeping the portal between the systems alive. Data has to flow both ways and if one of the pipelines is rerouted, the other must also reroute to rejoin it.

          For me, the worst part of that is that BG is at the mercy of RCI !! yikes...

            I tried to deposit my white week with II August 1st and was told I can't do that. I don't think a new system has anything to do with it.

              I deposited my white week in II the last two years.
              I exchanged into Marriott Grand Chateau and Marriott Paris Disneyland Resort.

              I am still really annoyed by this change in policy to RCI only.

                On the advice of the II rep I spoke with on Saturday, I populated the unit number field with any valid number for the resort. She said they'd update it with the proper number on validation.

                However, I received the dreaded phone call this am from Bluegreen that they are not approving my deposit.

                It was fun while it lasted

                  Argh. I found instructions on how to access the TPU calculator, but I don't have a "manage my deposits" tab when I go to RCI through Bluegreen. Can anyone help point me in the right direction?

                    Nevermind. It has been several years since I used RCI and I'd forgotten about the separate accounts for weeks vs points.

                    Now my problem is that I can't get the TPU calculator to work in either Safari, Explorer, or Google Chrome.

                      I use something called Puffin. Sent u a response to pm

                      The week I was going to reserve and deposit in II as a 3 br deposit will get me 15 TPUS IN RCI....I am still REALLY annoyed.

                        So far so good with the 3 units I reserved arriving safely to II and RCI.
                        Took more than 48 hours but the deposit dates were correct so I got the proper TPU's.
                        Whew!!

                        Next to try the Independents and see how that goes.

                          I cry foul on their rationale for not letting us deposit to II.

                          I was told it was because they could not provide II with unit numbers.

                          Just received a written deposit confirmation from RCI, and it includes a unit number.

                              So today I log into my rci account and my 13tpus is gone. :what:

                              So I call bluegreen and they tell me that they gave it to rci and they already took it out of my account. Okayyyyy.
                              So where is it? I ask.

                              Apparently they deposited it into my free rci points account in my free weeks account. Why I have no idea because I have never ever used that account. I don't even have it active or so I thought.

                              Funny thing is that I have only given rci my weeks from this resort into my free Wyndham weeks account.

                              Oh and my red week for July 4th deposit to ii was cancelled because I had to pay the mfs for next year. Something I did not have to do for the last two years.

                              This is gonna be fun going forward. NOT!! :thumbdown:

                              And today I learner that bluegreen has a dedicated bluegreen desk at rci and she could see all my accounts unlike the regular reps.

                              So how us it going for the rest of you?

                                Have you requested that they move it to your corporate Wyndham RCI account? And what was their response?

                                I have a paid RCI account that I will be closing after my last exchange this November and then my corporate BG RCI account. So in my case, putting it into the corporate BG account will be fine.

                                Still have not done anything with my free white week situation, no reservation, no deposit yet
