Here is a report posted on the Yahoo Owner Group from the BOD president.....my comments are in italics

The annual meeting of Bluegreen Vacation Club, Inc. (BVC), your Owners' Association, was held on September 17, 2013, in Boca Raton, Florida, as designated by the Board of Directors and approved by Bluegreen Resorts Management, Inc., the Vacation Club Managing Entity. Your Board of Directors sincerely appreciates all of our owners who were present in person or by proxy at this important event. We did not have sufficient owner participation to officially convene the Annual Meeting – the bylaws call for 15% of the owners' total vote to be present in person or by proxy to establish a quorum. This year, we had 5,125 owner votes but required 26,484 owner votes in order to establish a quorum. Regardless, David Pontius and Wendy Poe presented an informational meeting for the owners in attendance. Mr. Pontius is the President of Bluegreen Services and Ms. Poe is the Senior Vice President of Club Services and Chief Customer Officer for Bluegreen Resorts.

There were two official items of business that were to be brought before the owners present at the meeting: To approve the minutes of the prior Owners Annual Meeting that was officially convened and to appoint a new Director to the Board. This year a nominating committee was developed to review and streamline the candidate selection process, with the objective to review the submitted resumes and narrow down the slate of nominees that are presented on the Proxy. Board President, Kathy Foster, announced that nominee Judy Beer has been appointed to the Board by the Class B member, based on a variety of factors. The approval of the minutes will be delayed until the next official meeting.

        Highlights from the Informational Session:

Mr. Pontius gave a brief update regarding Bluegreen and the state of the timeshare industry. He discussed the ongoing success that Bluegreen has achieved by working with independent resort developers on a fee for service basis, which has resulted in adding ten new resort locations to the Club in the past five years. He reviewed the strategic alliance with Choice Hotels and the additional benefits that will be available to the owners.

Following the updates from Mr. Pontius, Ms. Poe shared information on the new resorts being added to BVC, which will enhance and protect the value of Bluegreen ownership. The new resorts are located in Aspen, Colorado; Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; and Chicago, Illinois.

There is also an anticipated expansion of the BVC available inventory within our New York City, Orlando and St. Pete Beach locations for 2014.

*Horizon at 77th in Myrtle Beach, SC is another addition to the Bluegreen family of resorts that brings another fabulous vacation option to this popular destination.

*The Hotel Blake in Chicago, IL opens up an exciting new market of opportunity in the urban Midwest. Limited inventory available at this location. reported on Yahoo Group that BG purchased 12 units

*The Innsbruck Aspen in Aspen, CO extends our reach westward with an amazing location for year-round fun. Limited inventory available at this location.

Other Bluegreen properties that have recently or are currently undergoing extensive enhancements and restoration are:

        • Christmas Mountain Village, Wisconsin Dells, WI: Extensive cabin, cottage, and timbers renovations which will continue through 2015.

        • Cibola Vista Resort and Spa, Peoria, AZ: Construction of two new buildings to house an additional 40 rooms by June of 2014.

        • The Soundings Seaside Resort, Cape Cod, MA: Reconstruction of the seaside villas, creating a fresh new look and providing owners an elegant and sophisticated environment. Final resort improvements will continue through mid-2014.

        • Grande Villas at World Golf Village, St. Augustine, FL: New furniture and fresh paint make an updated design statement. Expect all renovations to be completed by March of 2014.

Ms. Poe and Mr. Pontius further discussed Bluegreen's new business alliance with Choice Hotels International® and the expansion of the vacation options in Prizzma, our online Direct Exchange program. Choice Hotels is one of the largest and most successful lodging companies in the world, representing approximately 6,200 hotels in over 30 countries. Choice offers 10 popular lodging brands, such as Comfort Inn®, Comfort Suites® and Cambria Suites®, as well as a unique collection of one-of-a-kind boutique, high-quality accommodations through its Ascend™ Hotel & Resort Collection. Choice Hotels also operates a valuable member rewards program called Choice Privileges®. Through Bluegreen's alliance with Choice Hotels, Vacation Club owners can convert their unused annual and borrowed Vacation Points into Choice Privileges® points which can be used towards reward stays at Choice Hotels as well as a variety of gift cards, gas cards, airline miles and much more. Choice Privileges® points are valid until December 31st two years following the date of conversion. In addition, Traveler Plus members will soon have the ability to use their Bluegreen Vacation Points towards stays at over 80 hotels in the Choice Hotels Ascend Collection.

During this past year the Direct Exchange program, as part of Traveler Plus, has launched Prizzma, a technology platform that allows owners to search and book Direct Exchange activity online 24/7. The technology is also used by our reservation specialists to book for owners who chose not to access the website.

13 new destinations were added to the prizzma offering, like Telluride, Colorado; Park City, Utah; Cancun, Mexico; and the Big Island of Hawaii.
There are an additional 8 west coast resorts Grand Pacific Resorts - YIPPEEthat will be added in 2014. Since 2007 the Direct Exchange program has grown from the 17 resorts to 36.

Ms. Poe was also happy to announce that Vacation Club Dues will not increase this year, remaining at the current rate of $129. However, a slight increase in Maintenance Fees is necessary to offset minor increases related to resort operations and utility expenses, as well as to continue to fund multiple resort renovation and improvement projects. Ms. Poe also reviewed the recent enhancements to the website, specifically Plan-it Bluegreen and how the technology has made it easier and friendlier for owners to search and book Bluegreen reservations.

She also celebrated the new "look and feel" of our owner magazine, recently redesigned under the Power of Vacation name. Bluegreen Vacations has a strengthened direction and dedication of total service to our owners. Our "Share Happiness" is the expression of Bluegreen's corporate purpose, which is our belief in the power of vacation. Vacations make people happier by sharing time together, smiles, and memories. It's also the articulation of a previously unspoken ethos that has been part of our company since the beginning. We have always had a passion to create spaces and places where families could enjoy time together. It was just never put into words, until now. Share Happiness states our purpose in your life as a Bluegreen Vacation Club owner. With the unveiling of our new magazine, we feel more empowered than ever before to live our passion – to help you experience new destinations and cultures and to feel the power of vacation together.

On behalf of the Bluegreen Vacation Club, we thank you for the opportunity to serve you and we wish you another year of outstanding vacations.

        With warm regards,

        Kathy Foster, President
Bluegreen Vacation Club Board of Directors

No mention of the Bahamas Property, Blue Water.
Additional units in Manhattan. Makes me think they have acquired an additional unit or two?
Purchased 12 hotel rooms in Chicago....

Thanks for the info, GrayFal. I'd missed the Chicago acquisition, but we do day trips there all the time anyhow, so I don't think I'm going to fight for one of those 12 units!
