12/4/13 - Grand Pacific Resorts available thru Prizzma/Bluegreen Portal

It was reported at the annual meeting that Grand Pacific Resorts will be available to BG owners thru Prizzma. BG owners can use their points to make an exchange/reservation thru the Prizzma Portal for a small fee.

There are 20 resorts listed. I wonder which ones will be included.
I am hoping that several in Carlsbad CA will be in the group.

I sent an email to GPX, the GPR internal exchange company, to see if they will provide details. GPX does lack choices on the east coast so in some ways it makes sense for them to have a reciprocal agreement with another group with inventory there. Summer inventory is already almost non-existent for the SoCal resorts, though.

Prizzma open to Bluegreen owners with Travelers Plus

Here’s how simple a direct exchange vacation can be for Bluegreen Owners:
• Resorts inthe direct exchange program can be reserved online using Prizzma.
• Use your VacationPoints and pay a small fee *to make your Prizzma reservation.
• VacationinHawaii,California,Arizona,Colorado,Mexic o,Canada–orother exciting destinations!
• Plan ahead! You can call up to eight months(240 days or less)prior to your check-in date for reservation requests of seven or more consecutive nights. Reservation requests of less than seven consecutive nights can be made up to three months (90 days or less) prior to your check-in date. Reservations are first come, first served!
• Stay a minimum of two nights (three nights in Hawaii).
• Be sure your Maintenance Fee, Club Dues, and mortgage obligations (if any) are current and your status as a member of the Bluegreen Traveler Plus program is “active”.
• Standard Club rules apply to annual, borrowed or rented Vacation Points to reserve Direct Exchange resorts. Saved Points and Bonus Points are not eligible

Presley and maybe StressCadet know more about MarBrisa than I do. I think that one is unique among the GPR resorts.

Marbrisa if fully owned by HGVC, but managed by GPR. It was originally sold as a GPR. Owners from back then will deposit their week in GPX or RCI, etc. Those who have bought since it became a Hilton get HGVC points and can use those points to book their home week (just like RCI points). They could deposit that booking into GPX.

GPR is trying to take on management of as many Timeshares as they can. They are always asking owners for referrals to timeshares that may need a new management company. I expect their resort list to continue to grow. They do manage only a few units at some of the resorts on that list. Ali Kai and Hanalei Bay are a couple that come to mind.

If Bluegreen will operated similar to DRI, they will have a handful of GPR and only a few units in each resort.

Thank you for your email. Yes, we are in the process of starting a “relationship” with Bluegreen Resorts. We are still working out the details, so its hard to say when, but it should be finalized by the end of the year, if not sooner…keeping our fingers crossed it will by next month sometime.

GPX just announced 10 new exchange location options, 12 resorts. My guess is that they are all BG:

Yes those are all BG properties.

I suspect probably December or January for GPR to Select Connections and the original 9 properties in shoulder seasons if at all. Ala Raintree Vacation Club.

This is all based on my own personal opinion and is not based on any facts. There haven't even been points charts put in Bluegreen for GPR yet.

Yes, those are all BG resorts - I just checked Prizzma and there are no GPR yet available - how far out can you book these resorts?
Our booking window in Prizzma and Select Connections is 8 months.

Are those exchanges or rentals??? - very interesting as BG owners can only book 11 months out - right now we can only book thru Sept 2014!
