  • 11000 Annual BG Points Based at Shore Crest II -They Need a New Home

We have been owners in Bluegreen for over 20 years and haven't used the points in over 4 years. Last year, we had someone who paid the maint fees and used the points themselves for the following year but no luck with anything like that this year. We'd like to be done with them entirely.
Is anyone interested? We're both retired and as much as we'd like to cover all costs, we just can't cover all of it, at least not right now. There is no mortgage, we paid that off long ago.
    Here's the basics:

11,000 Annual Bluegreen Points, based out of ShoreCrest II.
Vacation Club Dues are due 11/01/13 and are $93.00
Annual Maint Fees are due 11/15/13 and are $831.60 (11,000 points x .07560 per point)
Real Estate Tax is due 11/15/13 and is $47.30 (11,000 points x .00430 per point)

Total due this month (including voluntary ARDA) is $976.90. We can pay half of this ($488.00) which means if someone wanted these points, they would pay the other half, plus whatever it costs to transfer (it was $275.00 thru closemytimeshare but as of Nov 2013 they have told me they're not taking BG anymore) so we'd have to find another closing company.
All Maint fees would have to be paid before BG would transfer, so that would need to be worked out as well to everyone's satisfaction.
Thanks and, any helpful info would be appreciated.

Another place to put this ad is on yahoo's bluegreen exchange group (bgex).

          Hi Wade,
Would you mind sharing where else you think OP should post this freebie?
As you can see, this is so far the only post by this member, doesn't appear as if he came back.

            GrayFal,
I was going to offer to sub rent the points for them, while advertising their Deed with their terms on my website. I'm guessing they had to come up with the mntnce fees already so they will use it another year and around october-november try to get rid of it again. I would recommend trying to give it away now. They could transfer it now and ask the new owners to honor their 2014 reservations since mntnce fees are paid. If indeed they already paid mntnce fees. Then this time next year they are out. No more mntnce fees.

Thanks Wade, I think it is a great idea to list on http://rentweeks.com - for maximum exposure.

No, I did not get your email. I didn't even get notices that anyone had responded to this thread until your last post, wigginswade. Luckily, I checked my trash/spam folder and VIOLA, there were your emails. I'm responding now but would like to correct your assumption here. As I said, we have not used any of our points for over 4 years, (most likely more like 6 years but I'm being conservative) but continued to pay maint. fees. Last year, a woman I met online paid the maint fees and used all of our points (she rented them out and seemed to think she could make money). I thought she was going to buy it for the transfer fee but I was apparently wrong.

We will not be using our points, not now, not in the next year or ever so your statement that we'll "come up with the mntnce fees already so they will use it another year and around october-november try to get rid of it again" is incorrect. The only reason I didn't post them here sooner is because I am caretaker for my elderly and very frail parents and, frankly, since we haven't used them in so long they slip my mind until the maint fee bill comes due.

I'll be replying to your email as soon as I'm home, which should be after 8p tonight.

Beech, thanks for checking back with us.
I have referred a few people to this thread so hope you get a taker soon.
Wade's site lists rentals as well as for sale ownerships.

Hope you will get rid of these soon. Sorry u have been unable to use your ownership.

I did not mean to assume incorrectly. I though it made sense that you would use points that have been paid for. I was glad to hear from you. I wish you the best of luck.
