  • Pictures of Big Cedar Lodge

Big Cedar is divided into many sections. This set of pictures is of the Falls Lodge and the main Big Cedar Lodge area. It is the original Big Cedar Lodge and it is NOT the Bluegreen timeshare section. Bluegreen owners can use all of these amenities and charge them to their rooms.

These are beautiful pictures! There is a separate timeshare section, or is this also a timeshare section except not with Bluegreen?

This collection of pictures is actually Big Cedar. Bluegreen owners have access to all Big Cedar amenities. There is a separate thread with Bluegreen Wilderness Club pictures which is actually the area where Bluegreen owners own.

They are beautiful pictures. I enjoyed seeing them before we went to Big Cedar last November.

I have an album of (78) pictures of Big Cedar on my Webshots site. I haven't put the other albums of our vacation on there yet, but plan to do that soon.

Click on the webshots link below.

              Avoid first hole

Miniature golf is free. I should caution novices that the first hole is a "bear" but the one in the picture is easy. (The hole is inside the fish.) It is a nice course in a beautiful setting.

Picturees of Big Cedar new pool area?

Does any one have any pictures of the new pool area they were working on last summer up by the loadge rooms?
Did it even open up last year before the end of summer?

We were there in early June last year and they were blasting rock down at the Swimming Hole on the Bass Pro side. What did that end becoming? It was a well kept secret.

We were just there over Valentine's weekend. The new pool area is now complete and waiting for warm weather to open, but I do not have any pictures. My guess is that the pool by the upper lodges will only be open from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend, but I do not have any inside knowledge on this. The view is incredible and the waterfalls (one into the upper pool, and then from the upper pool to the lower pool) look very nice.

The construction by the Swimming Hole is complete. They added a shuffleboard area and a sand volleyball court. I look forward to our return in the summer.

                    Thanks for the description.
I heard there is a wine tasting event there that week or weekend. Did you see anything or participate? Local wines? Imports?

We ate at the Worman House that weekend and were served in the glasses from the wine tasting event. When we inquired about the wine tasting weekend, we were told it is held every year in Jan. It sounded like a great reason to visit in Jan.
